ClickN KIDS mission is to become the foremost provider of engaging and highly interactive software and scientific research based curriculums, for use in an online deliverable format. ClickN KIDS is utilizing the power of the Internet to deliver interactive and individualized programs that couple sound instructional design with state-of-the-art technology to deliver instruction unrestricted by geography or time. Our beginning reading program ClickN READ Phonics is regarded by the academic community as cutting edge and the first of its kind. ClickN READ Phonics is a proven concept for teaching children to read and retain with measurable results.

Fourteen years ago Armie Carabet began exploring different options for fostering literacy for children. In 2003 the vision finally materialized in the establishment of ClickN KIDS, an educational publishing company with the goal of enabling all young children to master basic subjects. As Armie saw it, there was only one viable option for reaching the masses with an affordable solution: develop tutorial teaching software that is fun for kids and deliver it over the internet.

Under Armie’s leadership, ClickN KIDS has gone from an idea to a multi-award winning, cloud-based, proprietary tutorial platform that has benefitted hundreds of thousands of children in over 100 countries. With a highly scaleable business model entering its high growth phase, Armie turned his attention to new products. From concept to retail distribution at Wal-Mart in less than 120 days, a new record may have been set in flawless execution of the ClickN KIDS Family Tablet featuring the company’s Looney Tunes Phonics product. In 2012 Armie actualized his inspiration to spread literacy to the less fortunate by forming the One World Literacy Foundation which has garnered support from professional athletes and sympathetic organizations such as the Magic Johnson Foundation.

Armie’s history is that of a creative and versatile business builder. His experience partnering in successful ventures includes owning the Southern California Cold Stone Creamery, Norman International, as well as an international import-export company and a national direct mail marketing franchise. His contributions include ideation, marketing, negotiations, training and operations.

When Armie’s not consumed with his passion for helping children, he might be sailing the waters of Southern California with his wife of 13 years, their children plus their two dogs (Bruce and Lucy) or chasing his kids from ballet to art, piano, karate and Indian Guides.

The Company’s breakthrough, award-winning tutorial software that has helped countless children the world over was designed and developed by Alan Scalone. As co-founder, Alan’s creativity, exploratory nature and love of education set the tone for the Company’s innovations.

Alan’s obsession with perfection drove early product development and established the standards for application of the Company’s foundational software into vertical markets. His prior 20 years experience in Fortune 100 companies serving as a software engineer and systems designer allowed Alan to see into the future of consumer software. When ClickN KIDS began in 2003 he knew that a “cloud-based” product line, instead of computer based models, would set up the company for long-term success.

Dwelling in the corporate worlds of Honeywell, Hypercom and Motorola taught Alan the value of getting it right the first time when developing flexible systems for continuous expansion to vertical markets, such as tablet computers. A vital lesson gleaned from observing the widespread adaptation of the software products of Fortune size businesses was the keen appreciation for the importance for designing highly intuitive interfaces that would ensure easy use by millions of young children.

As evidenced by the seamless application of the Company’s online tool to a tablet device, Alan’s unique perspective regarding the interplay of branded content, technology platforms and connected devices proved to be a key differentiator for ClickN KIDS.

Growing up in the country of Pennsylvania, Alan’s love of the outdoors inspired a hobby as an amateur geologist by venturing to local Southern California mountain ranges to locate and mine rocks and minerals. Recently, this hobby turned into “serious business” when he hired his 11 year old grandson as Vice President of Kidz Rocks, a tool for teaching the child how to own and operate a business.

Peter Clemente brings to CNK Digital more than 20 years of experience in senior management roles in the areas of sales, marketing and digital media and is considered an expert in the field of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Reporting directly to CNK’s CEO, Armie Carabet, Peter’s primary responsibilities include management of the company’s overall business operations as well as support in the areas of Marketing, Strategic Planning, and Investor Relations.

In addition to his role at CNK Digital, Peter also serves as Founder and Managing Director at Domani Ventures, a Los Angeles-based venture fund and corporate advisory service with a focus on the media & entertainment, consumer products and technology sectors. He has served in a variety of executive roles including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Revenue Officer. His professional career over the past 2 decades has been dedicated to launching highly disruptive new businesses and leveraging customer intelligence to improve operating efficiencies, increase marketing effectiveness and drive profitability.

After founding and successfully selling interactive marketing startups in New York in the early ‘90s, Peter held multiple senior management positions at Sony, including VP CRM & eCommerce at Sony Music, SVP CRM at Sony Pictures, and SVP Customer Relationship Marketing at Sony Corp. Beyond Sony, Peter served in CEO positions at Oddcast, a media software company, and Gopogo, a social commerce business. An internet industry pioneer, Peter’s involvement with the internet began in 1977. He is a published author (“State of the Net: The New Frontier,” McGraw-Hill), was profiled as one of the leading marketers of the year in 2000 by AdWeek Magazine and has been a featured speaker at industry conferences in the US, Australia, Europe and Asia.

Spencer Gordon is a business strategist, executive and attorney focused on generating revenue, and brings to CNK Digital deep expertise in digital media, technology and consumer brands. In his role as CRO, Spencer reports directly to the CEO, and his primary responsibilities include securing and managing strategic partnerships, and all initiatives to grow revenue through new products, sales opportunities, marketing tactics and product distribution.

In addition to his role at CNK, Spencer is the President and Managing Director at Domani Ventures, a Los Angeles-based venture fund and corporate advisory firm with a focus on the media & entertainment, consumer products and technology sectors. As President of the Domani Ventures corporate development practice, he has worked closely with early stage companies to accelerate growth and bring new products to market. Spencer has prepared companies for raising capital, structured joint ventures for international expansion and developed product strategies for multiple consumer-based technology platforms. Through that period, Spencer has served in a variety of executive roles including President, Corporate Development Officer and General Counsel.

Spencer holds a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance from USC Marshall School of Business, a J.D. / M.B.A, Cum Laude, from Pepperdine University and is licensed to practice law in California.

Beginning in 2004, G.O. Burton began his advertising/sales career with a passion for entrepreneurship. After earning his Master’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University, G.O. utilized his entrepreneurial instincts and started a successful viral marketing company, The Bodega Co., with a plethora of music clients including EMI Latin, BMG and Universal Music Group.

In 2005, G.O. began working at Ripe Digital Entertainment during its initial development as a multiplatform video production company which focused on short form programming, distributed across multiple digital platforms including mobile, broadband and television. He soon assumed the role of Vice President of Client Services and Advertising Operations where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of all client services and advertising efforts, which included tracking and reporting all online and offline advertising metrics for over 50 clients ranging from Proctor & Gamble to Sony Electronics. G.O.’s department contributed to a 72% client re-commitment rate, which helped maintain strong revenue for the company.

G.O. left Ripe Digital Entertainment in 2009 and joined Charles Franklyn B. LLC as Vice President of Sales & Marketing in May 2009. G.O. was responsible for closing new sales, increasing revenue by 65% yearly. He was soon hired as VP of Business Development for Eclipse Berry Farms, one of the largest privately held food companies in the US and contributed largely to strong revenue growth in the first 3 months of employment. Thereafter, G.O. performed sales consulting for digital companies to help guide them on strategically building their sales pipeline, expand social marketing platforms and train account managers on multiplatform (mobile, online and broadcast) reporting procedures. He is proud to have recently joined Click NKIDS as SVP of Global Business & Partnerships.

G.O is an avid surfer and snowboarded but his true passion is his new baby boy, William.

David Koenig joined ClickN KIDS to lead development of the Looney Tunes Phonics line and to create the infrastructure needs allowing ClickN KIDS to sustain rapid growth. He designed the new software engine that is the foundation for Looney Tunes Phonics and all new future products. David’s next mission was to take Looney Tunes Phonics into the hot, vertical market of apps by creating the very first core curriculum aligned phonics app for the IOS and Android platforms.

David converted the entire ClickN KIDS software platform into a robust architecture utilizing the latest in online development technologies. He created redundant systems for disaster control and maximum efficiencies for accessing the ClickN KIDS programs globally with servers in multiple states. Before joining ClickN KIDS, David’s work included spearheading innovation on an IPTV solution to deliver custom content on demand to consumers, as well as having built and maintained technology infrastructures for several companies during his over two decades in the technology space.

When David’s not serving humanity with his technology skills, he leads his team bent on world domination with World of Warcraft, a multiplayer online role-playing game. David, happily married with three active kids, does manage to get off the computer long enough to serve on the baseball diamond to coach his son’s team or escape to watch his daughters perform on the ice rink.

J. Ron Nelson, Ph.D. is responsible for researching, authoring and designing all ClickN KIDS curriculum to ensure his curriculums maintain their integrity when delivered digitally. Ron’s experience in instructional design principles and applied research methodologies has evolved during his career to the point where is regarded as one of the nation’s premier research professors in his field. His early interests were helping children who were not at grade level and needed rescuing. Over the years, his focus has evolved into a passion for applying proven research to design the best and the easiest way for children to learn at the correct age so they never need to be “rescued.”

Ron is a Professor and College of Education and Human Sciences Institute Scholar specializing in behavioral and learning disorders of children at University of Nebraska. He has published over 120 books, book chapters and articles. Ron established the goal of enabling ClickN KIDS “students” to master what we teach by employing constant personalized feedback through our proprietary tutorial platform. This tutorial software can be applied to many subjects in the K-6 ages, not just phonics based reading and spelling.

When Ron is not doing research, preparing for a grant or writing a book, in his spare time you can find him on his bicycle leaving almost everyone in his dust. A highly competitive bicycle racer, Ron often rides hundreds of miles in any given week and recently placed 7th out of 330 entrants and first in the over 55 age group in the Dirty Kanza Bike Race, a 150-mile gritty ride on gravel roads in Emporia, Kansas. Go Ron, go!

Donald Plehn Jr. joined ClickN KIDS in early 2012 as the company’s first marketing employee when the transition to a marketing organization was first underway. Don is responsible for the entire marketing function at ClickN KIDS. Since Don joined ClickN KIDS, the company has grown from 175,000 to 500,000 customers. Under Don’s leadership, ClickN KIDS succeeded in extending the Looney Tunes license to its first electronics product, a dual-core Wi-Fi enabled tablet computer for children with an unheard of time to market of 90 days from concept to distribution. Donald efforts resulted in ClickN KIDS first major retail relationship (Walmart). As ClickN KIDS Marketing Manager, he heads lead generation and branding strategy through public relations management, social media, DRTV, brand development, website development, inbound marketing, blogging, search engine optimization, video marketing, email marketing, business planning, online distribution, market analysis/planning, lead generation, advertising and more...

Don started his career with BMC management where he was awarded 5 consecutive years with the 5 STAR presidential award of excellence. His efforts resulted in more than 10 fortune 500 relationships such as IBM, Wal-Mart, Sears and Sprint. Don co-founded Chapter Group, Inc., a nationwide online legal filing service. His strategic sales and marketing efforts resulted in year-over-year growth of more than 1,000% and helped form more than 5,000 new business entities in the United States. He has recently adopted a new obsession.

In late 2013 Don became intrigued by darts and within 6 months he was a competing dartster, placing 3rd place in a national competition playing head-to-head against the single best player in the world. Darts is a fitting sport for one who is known at ClickN KIDS as the one who takes steady aim and fires with a passion to never miss his targets.
