The names of the letters of the alphabet and concepts about print are introduced gradually throughout the first unit of the Houghton Mifflin Reading Program, Phonemic awareness and some consonant sounds are covered over the next three units. The first quarter of kindergarten learning takes place at this gentle pace.
Because students learn at a rapid pace using Click N Read, we recommend beginning Click N Read with unit 5 when using Click N Read and Houghton Mifflin Reading concurrently. |
